Where Tennessee posts its bids
- State bids
- Request for Proposals (RFP) Opportunities (Central Procurement Office). The Central Procurement Office posts RFPs and notices for personal, professional and consulting services here, and Invitations to Bid on a separate page. Viewing needs no account, but bids are submitted through the Edison Supplier Portal.
- Register as a vendor
- Edison Supplier Portal. Registering gets you a Supplier ID and email notices of new solicitations in the category codes you pick. You must be registered to be awarded a contract or get notifications.
- Technology buying
- Strategic Technology Solutions (STS) Vendor Management Office. STS is the state's central IT service bureau for state departments. Its Vendor Management Office takes vendor introductions through an online contact form and reaches out if there is a fit.
- Small business certification
- Governor's Office of Business Initiatives and Development (GO-BID) Certification. GO-BID certifies small, minority-owned, woman-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned and disability-owned businesses for state procurement. An applicant can hold only one business status.
- Free bid coaching
- Tennessee APEX Accelerator: the state's APEX Accelerator helps small businesses with registrations and proposals at no cost.
Big city, county and agency buyers
Each of these runs its own bid page, and most want you registered in their system too.
