Where Mississippi posts its bids
- State bids
- Mississippi Procurement Portal (Contract/Bid Search). The Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) links this statewide contract and bid search from its site. DFA also posts its own active procurements on its Bids and RFPs Notices page.
- Register as a vendor
- State of Mississippi Supplier Registration (MAGIC). Registering in the MAGIC eProcurement system lets you get information on upcoming bids, respond to bids electronically and receive purchase orders. Vendors already converted into MAGIC request a user ID from DFA instead of registering again.
- Technology buying
- Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services (ITS): RFPs and Sole Sources. ITS runs IT procurement for state agencies and posts its advertised IT RFPs and sole-source notices on this page, with documents to download. It also runs express procurement options and a managed service provider program.
Big city, county and agency buyers
Each of these runs its own bid page, and most want you registered in their system too.
| Buyer | Bid page | Runs on |
|---|---|---|
| City of Jackson | Open bids | ReproConnect (Plan House planroom) |
| Jackson Public School District | Open bids | their own website |
| City of Gulfport | Open bids | ReproConnect (Plan House planroom) |
| DeSoto County | Open bids | own site |
| City of Southaven | Open bids | their own website |
Good to know
- Each DFA solicitation requires you to include a signed amendment form with your response, and amendments are posted on DFA's Bids and RFPs Notices page. source
- For ITS technology RFPs, vendors must keep checking the ITS website for amendments until the proposal opening; missing an amendment can get a proposal disqualified. source
- Vendors already converted into MAGIC get a user ID by emailing mash@dfa.ms.gov with the subject "Vendor ID Request". source
- DeSoto County now uses Vendor Self-Serve (VSS) as the only way to register as a county vendor. source
